Standing UpRico began his mutifaceted entertainment career with Stand-up comedy . On stage and in many venues across the country, he learned his craft as a comic. He sharpened his improvisational skill with Cincinnati's original comedy troupe, The Fairview Impromptu Band. He toured colleges with the comedy show "We Can Make You Laugh." Around the same time, he began acting in theater. This led to work in television amd film. |

Second Round Later, Rico become part of one of North America's richest comedy traditions when he joined the Second City. The Second City alumni list reads like a "Who's Who" of comedy: Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Bill Murray, and Mike Myers among them. As a mainstage cast member of the Second City- Detroit, Rico co-wrote and performed in six revues including "Computer Chips and Salsa," and "One Nation Undecided." He also found time to direct the SC-D touring company. |

Rico eventually completed his Second City resume by becoming producer of the Detroit venue. Highlights included the critically acclaimed revue "Greetings from Viagra Falls," and SC-D's first workshop production, "Blah Blah Sista' Hood." He was also co-producer of the television series "Film Fest 7 with the Second City." |
